This Privacy Policy explains what information Grand Rapids Michigan Plumber ("we", "us") collects through grandrapidsmichiganplumber.com, our service request forms and our phone line, how we use it, and the choices you have. It replaces the policy dated June 2026.
Information You Give Us
When you request service through a form on this site, we collect:
- Your first and last name
- Your phone number
- Your ZIP code or neighborhood
- The service you need and whether water is actively leaking
- Anything you write in the "describe the problem" box
- The page you sent the form from
When you call us, the phone line records your phone number, the time and length of the call, and may record the call itself (see "Phone Calls" below).
Please don't include payment card numbers, passwords or other sensitive information in a form message.
Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, this site collects some information automatically when you visit:
- Google Analytics 4. We use Google Analytics to see which pages people visit, how they arrive and what device and browser they use. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as
_ga) and receives your IP address, which Google uses to estimate a general location. We use this only to understand and improve the site. Google's use of this data is described in Google's privacy policy, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. - Statcounter. We use Statcounter to count visits and see which pages people view. Statcounter receives your IP address and browser details and sets cookies to tell new visits from returning ones. Its handling of this data is described in Statcounter's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts. Our pages load fonts from Google's servers, which receive your IP address and browser details when the fonts load.
- Saved tool settings. Some free tools on this site remember what you enter, the boxes you tick or a repair letter you write, using your own browser's storage, so they're there on your next visit. That information stays on your device and isn't sent to us. Clear it with the tool's clear button or your browser settings.
- Hosting logs. Our website host, Netlify, keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to deliver and protect the site.
We don't run Facebook/Meta pixels, Google Ads remarketing or other advertising trackers on this site. If that changes, we'll update this policy first.
Phone Calls
The phone number on this site is a call-tracking number that forwards to the plumbing team handling service. The call-tracking service logs the calling number, date, time and length of each call so we can see which pages and searches lead to calls. Calls may be recorded for quality and training where permitted by law. By calling this number, you acknowledge that your call may be recorded.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Respond to your service request and call you back
- Send your request to the plumbing professional who will handle it (see below)
- Schedule, confirm and follow up on service
- Answer questions about a job
- Measure which pages and services people use, so we can improve the site
- Prevent spam and abuse of our forms (our forms use a hidden spam trap and Netlify's spam filtering)
- Meet legal obligations
We contact you by phone, text message or email only about the request you made. We don't add form submissions to marketing lists.
How We Share Your Information
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We share it only as needed to provide the service you asked for:
- The plumbing professional handling your request. Grand Rapids Michigan Plumber passes your request to the licensed plumbing company that performs service under our name in your area, so they can call you and do the work. That company's own handling of your information is covered by its own policies.
- Service providers that run this site for us: Netlify (website hosting and form processing), Google (analytics and fonts), our call-tracking provider and our email provider. They process the information on our behalf.
- Legal reasons: when the law requires it, to respond to legal process, or to protect the rights, safety or property of our customers, the public or us.
- A business transfer: if this website or business is sold or transferred, the information would go to the new owner under this policy.
How Long We Keep It
We keep service requests and call records for as long as we need them to handle the job, follow up and keep business records, and then delete them. Google Analytics data is kept according to the retention setting on our Analytics account.
Security
We use HTTPS on every page, and our providers protect stored data with industry-standard safeguards. No website or email system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee the security of information you send us.
Your Choices
- Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The site still works without them.
- Texts: reply STOP to any text from us to stop text messages.
- Access, correction or deletion: you can ask us what information we have from your service request or call, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to records we have to keep by law. Children
This website is for adults arranging plumbing service. It isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
